- Associate director of Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago Merle Diamond, M.D., says fruit juices burn off alcohol at a faster rate thanks to the natural sugar fructose found in most fruit juices. Drink 8 to 10 ounces after you have had one too many to lessen the impact of a hangover in the morning.
